Nothing Left

9/10/05

So this is how it ends;
I've nothing left to give.
The tears I've cried
Dry on the page,
Blurring the hurried letter I write you.
The letter you'll never read.

Everytime someone asks me
About you and her
A dagger plunges into my heart
Gouging out a chunk
Of flesh that will never heal.

You've taken everything I had
Leaving me empty;
Just a shell,
You've broken me
And I have to try and let go
Before the pain kills me
When I next see you two.

Everything I've had I've lost,
You've sucked the life from me
And now there's nothing left.
